          Jamil formerly served as executive vice president and chief operating officer for Duke Energy, one of the largest energy holding companies in the United States, from 2015 until his retirement in June 2023, supplying and delivering electric services to approximately 8.2 million customers in the Southeast and Midwest.

          He is responsible for the company’s generating fleet, transmission grid, enterprise-wide project management and construction, environment, health and safety, as well as other related support functions.
